Schedule a post
Published
Updated 2 October 2026: The post form now has two clear buttons: Save as draft (private, nothing emailed) and Publish, or Schedule post when you pick a date. Publishing or scheduling asks you first and says how many members and supporters will be emailed. Drafts are labelled in your list and publish in one click.
Good posts don’t always get written at the right moment. Now you can write one when you have time and choose when it goes live.
How it works
- 1Open Posts and write your post.
- 2Under When, choose Schedule for a date and time, and pick the day and time in your own timezone.
- 3Tick the emails you want sent, then press Schedule post. You’re asked to confirm, and told how many people will be emailed.
Until then the post isn’t on your page and nothing is emailed. At the time you chose, within about 15 minutes, it goes live and the emails you ticked go out, just as they would if you’d published it yourself.
Changing your mind
Before it goes live you can edit the post, publish it straight away with Publish now, or cancel the schedule and keep it as a draft. You can schedule up to a year ahead. You can also press Save as draft on any new post to keep it private, with nothing emailed, and publish it later with one click.
