Import your page
Published
Moving to a new home for your work shouldn’t mean typing your whole page again. When you first sign in, you can now choose Import my page, next to setting it up yourself or with an AI assistant.
- GitHub Sponsors: type your username, and we read your public profile once, through GitHub’s official API, when you ask. A short code in your GitHub bio shows it’s yours.
- Liberapay, Ko-fi, Buy Me a Coffee, Patreon and Gumroad: their rules or settings don’t allow other sites to read pages automatically, or don’t clearly allow it, so we never do. You paste your own words, and we tidy them up. A Liberapay goal is weekly, so we show it as about a month’s worth to check.
- You tick the fields you want, change any words, and the usual setup steps open already filled in. Nothing is saved until you create your page, and a person reviews every page.
What stays where it is
Your supporters and their details, monthly supporters and members, your history and your payouts stay on the other platform. We never import anyone’s name, email or messages, and payment details can’t move between platforms.
That is why every moved page gets a moving kit: an email and a WhatsApp message you can send your own supporters, an “I’ve moved” note for your old page, and a note asking monthly supporters to join here first and then cancel there, so nobody pays twice.
